I am 20 years old and grew up in Havelock North, Hawkes Bay and am currently living in Auckland completing my Science degree. I have been doing Orienteering since my parents were introduced to the sport just a week after I was born, so I have been competing for the Hawkes Bay Orienteering Club ever since I could complete a course. I have represented New Zealand at a school, university, junior world level and elite level. I have just finished my last year as a junior and am currently making that gigantic step up to the senior world stage. I am sponsored by Raisey's who have helped me immensely during the past few years.
I have recently met a young Swedish boy called Rassmus Andersson who has definitely changed my life. He has been helping me along the way to 'getting awesome' and is constantly making me feel positive about everything in life! Unfortunately he is back in Sweden, but we are coping well with the distance. I am currently studying Geography and Environmental Science and work as a barista in a cafe in Havelock North during the summer. I am planning on graduating in June this year and will then travel over to Sweden to train and work for a few years. I hope to compete at the World Orienteering Championships in 2014 in Italy where I will aim to result in the top 20 in the middle and sprint distance. These are a few ideas which have surrounded my brain recently, but you never know, they might all just change :)
